World of Blue
Engulfed in a world of blue,
Suffocating without air,
Knowing only that I love you
And that you’ll always be there.
But how do you define love?
As devotion, care? Divine need?
I see you having wings of a dove,
And I tell you that you don’t need to bleed.
You don’t listen, but instead cut.
I cry tears behind a veil.
You know I love you but you do this for what?
Just know, no matter what, my love will not fail.
Or falter like the flames of my heart.
I will be there,
Even when we’re apart.
Nothing can compare.
The days and months and years stretch on
And my tears make a drowning pool
Knowing that we belong
Engulfed in a world of blue
