Just because I’m an Artist
Doesn’t mean I’m completely insane
Doesn’t mean I’m some sort of dirty hippie
Doesn’t mean that I’m not smart in a lot of other ways

Just because I’m an Artist
Doesn’t mean I spend all my free time criticizing society
Doesn’t mean I must have everyone’s attention all the time
Doesn’t mean I’m emotionally closed-off to the people around me

Just because I’m an Artist
Doesn’t mean I turn to drugs in a desperate attemptt to escape from reality
Doesn’t mean that I’m some eccentric black sheep brooding in the shadows
Doesn’t mean I think that I’m the coolest person ever and above all the rest

Being an Artist means
I’m my own person
The possibilities are endless
To me nothings ever just that simple
I see everything in hundreds of different ways all at once
I love expressing myself with so much more than just my voice
A blank space is nothing less than a story not yet told, a
thought waiting to be shared, or a vision yearning to be explored
