But I don't want to go among mad people!
Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here.

Hair behind her like snakes
Eyes like giant empty lakes
Where no fisher comes to sit
Where a light is never lit

Silent laughter screams out loud
Wave on shoulder like a shroud
Hands flung out in happy pose
Sand on face, a desert rose

Trapped is she behind the frame
Caught by a square, brought no fame
Glass reflecting curious faces
From more far, amazing places

Lights click off, on turns quiet
Still she shouts in silent riot
Death-pale lips require no bleach
Caption reads "Girl on beach".
