The sun awakes us with a silent stare
The one a painter draws with a brush
While high above the birds fly without care
Break of dawn through the silent hush

The one a painter draws with a brush
The colors come to the canvas in a sudden rush
Break of dawn through a silent hush
The world is still with God’s gentle touch

The colors come to the canvas in a sudden rush
The waves are drifting further from the sand
The world is still with God’s gentle touch
He drew the sunrise with his very own hand

The waves are drifting further from the sand
It’s hard to see what God has planned
He drew the sunrise with his very own hand
It is easy to see this is God’s graceful land
