Eruption of Emotion
March 10, 2008
Silently watching as the scene erupts,
dogs without muzzles thrashing at each other.
Unable to assist their corrupted souls,
my faith plunges into my stomach, as
vomit surges up my dry, irritated throat.
Through ice glazed glass I witness a clash
of ex-lovers with an undesirable fate,
parents destroying all they’ve built.
A cold sweat burns my misty eyes as
it mixes with a stream of sorrow.
This window separates love and I.
Although I see I never speak,
forgiving them for all their cruelty—
my love for them flows eternally.
