Right to Be Wrong

September 25, 2007

I have a right to be wrong
Sorry if that hurts
I have a right to hurt
To feel the pain you put me through
I have a right to be loved
To feel like you care about me
I’m not trying to be wrong
I don’t want to hurt you
Like you hurt me
To think that young love
Was true love
To think your smile
Was even real
I loved you
But not enough to stay
So if I walk right out
That door
Will you run after me?
I have a right to be wrong
Can’t work to death
Over something
That never was
Or never was supposed
To be
I have a right to be wrong
And this love
The love
And we
Were wrong
