Ash to ash
a sea of bubbling fire bursts out of the apartment building. people scream and run in terror, others cry as the relive the moments of their losses. it was as if time slowed as I stood across the street in utter shock as bodies were carried on stretchers and fire department men rush into the building to put an end to this chaos, children covered their ears and sobbed as the heard explosions coming one after another. in the end smoke and ash covered the streets until I could see nothing more. in the white fog of death and ash I still stood across the street from the now remains of the apartment building, this was a day I would remember forever
