Solid Yolks
The red clay bricks make no movement
As the heat cracks their fragile bodies
 Dehydrated but smiling

Two children run on their faces
 Crushing their smiles
Replacing them with laughter and eggs
 Flying through the air

Egg yolks crash to the ground
Yellow bodies mix into red bricks

The hot summer heat bakes the egg film
Onto the crusty clay colored brick
 Turning the yolks solid
 Like concrete

The heat cracks the fragile bricks
 But they sit there smiling
