Truly what you are to me!
If ever I’ve seen a beautiful face
none could compare to your perfection and grace,
and lovely hair made with velvet lace;
of what yours is to mine.
Deathly torment is what I’d endure
to see your body with all its allure.
And now I’m wanting to all the more!
So please won’t you come back to me?
I’m writing this poem to let you know
that what you are is as pure as snow;
and my previous statements just weren’t so.
Please ignore them, if you will.
