there’s just something
about the reverberations of the bass
and the simultaneous unity and cacophony
of instruments
searing through my heart,
echoing through my body,
sending shocks of emotion
in blood pulsations and tickled senses.
ears soaking it all in,
lyrics dancing around the notes
through my melancholy synapses.
somehow I can grasp
everything and nothing
in this time capsule
of comforting consolation,
a companion and an oasis,
oh, music.
