Crash

July 7, 2008
By LUCY HOVANISYAN, BROOKLYN, NY

You CRASH
Into the wall
Soundly,
Like in a slow motion
Movie,
With newer bruises
To your collection
That I’ll pretend were always there.
You FALL
Into the surroundings,
A butterfly drowning
In the river which the cruel,
reckless man threw you into.
You BEG
For my lies to stop
And CRAVE
The day you’ll live in harmony…
You LOVE
Being in my presence,
But I keep doing this to you.
