Peanut Butter and Jelly
The whole wheat bread
waiting to feel complete
No longer wanting such a bland taste
Or looking dull, it needs color conjoined together
Brown and purple are the color the bread most desires
The razor sharp knife,
trying to find the hidden peanut butter
Yet, the peanut butter is hiding in the corner
The silent cries of peanut butter are heard
Knowing they lost the battle with the knife.
Next the knife seeks the grape jelly
tearing it limb by limb
The knife not caring how the jelly feels
Only wanting to carry out its task
Harshly, slapping it on the whole wheat bread
smearing it against the lumpy peanut butter
Peanut butter on both sides, jelly in the middle
Bam! The noise of the bread hitting each other
No longer are each ingredients alone
They have a new family together
That is until the sharp teeth bite into it
