Hard to Forget

I remember what I was told.
I was a small boy then.
They were hard to forget.
I will always remember.

I was a small boy then.
When thy told me to help.
I will always remember.
What happened that day.

When the told me to help.
I moaned and groaned at,
What was said that day.
Though I did it anyway.

I moaned and groaned at,
Like a prisoner being hauled off.
Though I did it anyway.
Even though I couldn’t stand it.

Like a prisoner being hauled off.
It took everything I had.
Even tough I couldn’t stand it.
I suffered through it.

I took everything I had.
I remembered what I was told.
I suffered through it.
They were hard to forget.
