M aybe just once I wanted you to acknowledge me
E ven for a second, just to swallow your pride,
A nd you sit there and build upon my shattered hopes
N o consideration for the hatred inside
I nstead you sit and preen your frail wings
N eglecting to give me the time of day
G od, how I wished you were just there for me
L onging for you as my passions you slay
E mptiness has darkened and clouded my skies
S o I sit here alone as my sanity dies
S ending stares into your meaningless eyes
