Be the change you want to see in the world- Ghandi

We were like peanut butter and jelly
Being together made sense
But I didn’t think what would happen next
Now we don’t have anything in common.
You switched me off
Like a light you no longer needed.
I am a shadow.
You left me waiting for you
To come back and
Turn the switch back on.
But you never came back.
Letting me go
Felt like watching the
One I love the most
Turn their back on me.
The thought of us not
Together feels like
A peanut butter and jelly
Not together.
There will always be scars
Where the memory
Was.
