Heaven couldn't wait
What hurts the most plays in my ears
And I feel like it has been years
Years since I heard your laugh or seen your smile
Oh has it been a while
The day heaven couldn't wait
Is when you hit home plate
Your spunk kept the game going
And the world knowing
Happiness was never too far
And you never failed to be your mothers shining star
October 23rd you left us
And I never again saw you on the school bus
The teachers read an email to the class but it took a while to sink in
Where do I even begin
You were the first we lost
And our little minds went criss-crossed
Your mother couldn't wake you
And your father couldn't too
Now we imagine what could have been
And the light within
The sight of your pale face in the church of Christ
Led my heart to be sliced
Your family now lives down the street from me
And i see sun shining over the house, guaranteed
