Myself
Many times I try to see,
What has gotten into me,
Sometimes it seems I’m the opposite of myself,
Just another book on the shelf,
But that’s not me,
Most definitely,
I swore one day,
I would steer one way,
And keep it that way,
But not today,
Today or tomorrow,
No more am I friends with sorrow,
I’m going to shine today,
I’m going to fly away,
It’s my time,
My time to rhyme,
And my hearts at peace,
Like a symphony,
And I’m happy,
Because I know,
This is where I’m supposed to be.
