Winter Sadness

By
A blanket of white covers the land,
Freezing all that it touches.
For nine long months, all must withstand,
We remain in winter’s clutches.

Finally, the cold subsides,
The warmth of hope grows stronger.
The life of the world revives,
Pain and struggle - no longer.
