This deep unsettling feeling within my soul
Has captured me, and swallowed me whole
But now he purrs, soothed and contented,
For his enemy has now repented
And he rests at ease, pursuing his dreams
While love, hate, hunger, excitement teems
In the chambers of the beast’s own soul apart,
Yet somewhere within the confines of my heart
