Are You Watching?
Oh bird above the clouds,
Watching us with your eye.
Do you see I’m breaking,
My vision clouded with lies.
Do you hear my soundless cries?
Or see my silent tears?
Bird from the heavens,
Can you save me from my fears?
Do you know what I’ve been hiding?
As you watch us all.
Can you see through my plastic smile?
As you watch me slowly fall.
Can you tell from my face?
That I’m keeping my feelings inside.
This regret and guilt, this shame,
That I’m truly trying to hide.
Oh you are but a bird,
Your brain small and dainty,
But if you hear and understand,
Would you come and save me?
