Such is Life
After School and work all day
And having to do everything the “right” way
I retire to Daniel’s Den
Every now and then
For a peaceful place to think
Swinging higher as the sun begins to sink
The music alleviates my worries
As the trees listen to my stories
Not much else compares to this
A moment of true raw bliss
Those are always good to have alone
When all my true colors are shown
As these pigments begin to fade
So does the time, which you have made
Feeling “life” pulling me back to where I’m from
Going through this so much, I am partially numb
Angered at the separation from the real, as I walk through the grass
Making my way “home”, waiting for the mean time to pass
