An "I am" Poem

I am a teenager, ambitious and stubborn.
I wonder how I can turn the tables in my favor if
I hear or expect a hindrance in my path to success because
I see myself happy in the future, living a great life.
I want to do whatever it takes for this future to become a reality, because
I am a teenager, ambitious and stubborn.

I pretend to have to worries, but
I feel horrified by the mere thought of losing what I want my life to lead to.
I touch and hold on to that wonderful future that I have set to be my goal, but still
I worry that my hopes and aspiration could be overpowered by strong evils. But, when I feel like this,
I cry a barbaric yawp to frighten the uncertainties away, for
I am a teenager, ambitious and stubborn.

I understand that the cold world might throw some obstacles in my way, but
I say, “I will never give up.”
I dream hundreds of dreams where I get put in my role models’ shoes, and
I try, always, to become like them—to become better than them.
I hope that I get my way, because, after all,
I am a teenager, ambitious and stubborn.

The author's comments:
This is a poem called an "I am" poem, that tells the reader a little bit about the author. It follows a standard structure (the "I am", "I wonder", "I hear". My teacher told the class that about this website, and that it would be cool to submit some of our poetry to it.
