I sit and wonder how many tears have to fall before I know it means nothing.

Feeling so faded my sobs sound like humming.

This is why I avoid even the slight bit of loving.

Had my eyes closed, don’t even know what time of day it is.

Went through two packs of Kleenex, because that’s just the way it is.

It’s not okay but people just say it is.

My heart took a walk on the yellow brick road.
Can’t find it’s way home, where love once flowed.

Just as I can’t find the smile I once often showed.

Together forever, but forever never lasts.

For ever and ever, You are just my past.

And never ever ever has time moved so fast.

These tears have my eyes cherry red,

The salt water seeping through the aqua blue of my bed.

I guess I could keep this up, but I’d rather move on instead.

Consuming my trust,

Feeding me lies,

Too deaf to listen, but too stuck up enough to criticize.

We all go through heartbreak, right? We've all been told "Our love will last forever." But what is forever?
