The girl dancing around in her room,
Like a butterfly in the clear blue sky.
With many beautiful dresses surrounding her.
She tried them on one by one,
Glancing at herself in the mirror.
She saw one from the reflection,
Grabbing it quickly and putting it on.
She knew this was the one she would be wearing,
The one she would be wearing on this special day.
She arrived to the sound of trumpets greeting her arrival.
Slowly the double doors opened.
Walking in graceful one foot behind the other,
The eyes of the guest wandered to her.
She began walking down the staircase,
A handsome gentleman greeting her,
Reaching for her hand.
She took his hand and looked into his eyes and smiled.
He pulled her to the middle of the ball room,
They began to dance,
Dance as if they were united as one.
The eyes of the guest beaming back at her.
She knew that she had picked the perfect dress,
Everything was just the way she wanted it to be.
Perfect and royal, the way she dreamt it would be,
Since she was a little girl.
