Beautiful Rainbow

It's only morning yet
softly, slowly, the wind increases,
swirling leaves into miniature tornadoes
that dance across the yard.
tiny trickles of rain creep down every window and quench plants parched from the hot summer day.
in the distance the sky brightens with each flash of lightening.
A crash of thunder.
The rain begins to poor, pounding on the rooftops and knocking on doors.
The sun peeks its head from behind the clouds and a brilliant ray of colors stretches across the sky.
Good morning beautiful rainbow.
