Once upon that time...

I’m sitting here thinking about the way we once were;
About the girl I once called my best friend for sure.
Hoping that one day I’ll be able to go back to that;
But I know that my dream will fall completely flat.
When I was with you my life felt amazing;
And now I’m sitting here with my heart just blazing.
Now that you’re gone my life’s a mess;
And I’m just a simple little girl lying in a dress.
