If I danced across your eyelids
Would you wake from dreadful slumber?
And stop your twist and turnings
Upon your bed sheets of wonder
Then let me seep inside the nightmares of your past
And shut out the good to make them last
Then as I crawled across your lips
Would you sing of sweet tomorrows?
And wish forever after full of all your sorrows
Then would you not shake and shiver as you rest
So that I can start to run across
You’re heaving chest and make peaceful pace
With times lost thoughts of your mind
