Did She Have to Die?

You started out as my grandma dear,
I looked forward to seeing you from year to year.
You made me pies and cake for two,
It made me feel special, like no one else could do.
But after a while, cancer had come,
It scared me to the point, that i was numb.
It just got worse, it had to spread,
it jumped from your ribs, than to your head.
It ended out worse than i thought it could be,
I wanted to be there, but it was too hard to see.
Yet you made me laugh, to the point i cry,
But god...Did She Have To Die?
