My Morning of Sound

February 27, 2008
By Maria Caskey, Papillion, NE

I hear my alarm clock beeping and I turn it off.
I hear the spring of my mattress when I roll of my bed.
I hear the sounds of my older brother singing from the bathroom.
I hear the pouring of milk on to my daily cereal.
I hear the water swishing when I brush my teeth.
I hear my shirt moving about as I put on my uniform.
I hear my books bouncing off of one another in my backpack.
I hear the car tires squeak as I pull out of the drive way.
I hear the morning D. J. on the morning recapping highlights from American Idol.
I hear the car door open as I walk into school and hear a whole new world of sound inside.
