Sitting, Thinking

By
I sit at the edge of my bed,
As the alarm rings to the left.
I think about how the day will go.
I wonder what my grandpa thinks, sitting in his hospital bed.

I lounge in my desk at school,
Teachers and kids talking all around me.
I think about how boring class is.
I wonder what my grandpa thinks.

I sit at the table in the cafeteria,
Eating my boring lunch.
I think about the next meal i will get.
I wonder what my grandpa thinks.

I lay on the couch at home,
Watching a show with no meaning.
I think about the homework i should be doing.
I wonder what my grandpa thinks.

I lay down in my bed,
Waiting for the right time to fall asleep.
I think about how my day went.
I wonder if my grandpa will ever make it out of the hospital bed.
