I see you
For the length of a existence
One searches for their guardian angel
Proposing to do a deed under the view of the moon and sun
All the while hearts start to crinkle, turning into powdered charcoal
Until it pops out long after we have given up
After we open the last oyster surprised by the pale pearl inside
Under our own vow of forgiveness
We crumple in our pool of emotions
Our own angel wrapping their wings around us
 Guarding us from harm
 We look up
And for the first time and last we whisper
 “I see you
