This Circle
Where were you when I needed you?
 Did you even care?
I hope you see my face
In the depths of your despair.

 I sat and cried
 I almost died inside
 I wonder how you feel
When I'm drowning in my fear.

Today is new, bright and fresh
Sometimes I feel like it's all a test
I sometimes think of you in passing
Hoping this circle isn't forever lasting

Tomorrow is a promise that might not come true
But the thought of this isn't exactly new
What do you think? Is it all a lie?
Just like the thing between you and I?

You hurt me more than you ever thought
A waste of time that can never be sought
But I'm starting to feel like you don't care
That you're off looking for attention elsewhere

So, with all that being said
Sometimes I wish that you were dead
But then I realize, with a start
That you're the one who still holds my heart
