My God
His Love is ever expanding like the universe,
Yet so tender as a mother to a newborn child.
His mercy falls on us like a soft rain,
Washing away the pain and past.
His grace covers us like a blanket,
Lulling us ever closer to eternity with the eternal.
His peace washes over like water in a babbling brook.
He gives salvation freely like a superhero in disguise.
His price was all,
But was paid with one love.
He is my king.
With the Sword of the Spirit,
I fight for his truth.
With the Belt of Truth,
I will never budge from who You are.
With the Breastplate of Righteousness,
Let them see my heart for You
With the Helm of Salvation,
May my enemies know who the head of this body is.
With the Shield of Faith,
What weapon formed against you shall prosper?
With the Armor of God,
None can stand against.
