Helpless
She called for help, she trusted you.
She did whatever she could do.
You did nothing. Nothing at all.
The darkness emerges, the light falls.
Now her body is pale and cold.
She lays unconsious, growing old.
You never found her, you never tried.
You never knew how she felt inside.
You never knew, you never will.
Does that thought give you the chills?
How does it feel, knowing you abandoned her like that?
I think I know. I bet it feels bad.
A few years later, her body is found.
Soon enough, it’s underground.
Underground, beneath the dirt.
Her body lies still, under the earth.
This is it, her life is through.
She’s gone. All because of you.
