"As artists, we are eternally heartbroken."

A desire for someone so unattainable wears down a lonely heart,
She was just a wide eyed girl who learned this right from the very start.
A child screaming of desires so deep,
For all of his being she would never get to keep.

He was just a boy like all the others she'd seen before,
She was convinced he was nothing special and nothing more.
After some time an affectionate eye began to form,
Butterflies that were oh so new left this little girl torn.

Than all of a sudden a wondrous chase began to take place,
she had never felt love and simply was starved for the sweetest taste.
Watching juvenile love begin is such a bittersweet sight,
Knowing she's excepting her prince and constantly waiting around for Mr. Right.

There are some things Disney never did teach this young girl,
that even if it doesn't work out she'd always be a wonderfully magnificent pearl.
Sometimes we don't always get the ones that we long for the most,
But as she grew up she began to understand that loving herself always deserved the final toast.

She is now wise enough to know that they were just kids,
He is of her fondest childhood memories of which she could never rid.
A little boy who taught her all she needed to know about men,
That self love versus a broken heart is nearly impossible to mend.

Little did she know he was her prince charming all along,
He taught her where in this world should women belong.
Always loving him was unmistakably the key,
Sitting in her castle would she forever wait for the wonderful man he turned out to be.

This is for every little girl who never got the little boy.
