The Color Red
The color red surrounds us
to find it is no fuss
From valentine’s day cards, to Japan’s flag
To elegant nails, to that folder in your bag
Symbolizing love and passion or hatred and war
The color of your shirt
Or your face as you flirt
The color red surrounds us
The crimson sun setting along the horizon
Fire flames are a risin’
The hearts in your diary or the roses in your vase
Its a way to make a case
To declare your love
Or declare enough
Red has a way of showing up everywhere
From what you wear
To how you do your hair
A freedom of expression
To give off an impression
The color red
I can’t get it out of my head
