I Too Am Invincible
They call my heat up to the line,
The sweat from anxiety already trickling down my spine.
At the moment that he shoots the gun,
My only feeling is just to run.
My sharp spikes tearing up the rubber,
An intense feeling; like no other.
I have to make it, I’m almost there,
I can’t look back, no time to spare.
I cross the line first and possess that winning smile,
I realize my hard training was worth my while.
I won the race, hard to believe,
And now that shiny medal I will finally receive.
