The girl
Who gave every crush she had away,
Made a huge mistake one day.
A fear
Bad enough to hurt her health
Was the fear of love itself
The redhead
Was the first she fell for.
Apparently he was a bore.
The surfer
Was the second one.
She let him go with "more fun."
Her true love,
Though she didn't know it.
With rough, curly brown hair,
Nor did she show it,
And a soft but angular face
Afraid in a way she'd blow it,
With kind brown eyes...
She
Gave him away,
Though she should have let him stay
In her arms
Forever.
