It fades away like a flash of lightning, blinding and the stars remain.
Fooled by the burst of light, and just as swiftly swept away.
And yet so bright it felt like sunrise, and set my heart ablaze in flames.
And now extinguished I wait till morning, mourning no longer the passing days.

Written after a month of heartbreak. Don't be fooled by infatuation, it isn't love and you shouldnt treat it like it is. Be slow in your relationships, and cherish your time with them.
