Six steps to freedom.

Yet it travels up,
and it travels down.
The stairs.

Work your way up and into the bliss.
Into a place where everyone's awake
Their minds attentive and ready to appreciate.
Six steps to oppression.
(Easy way down.)
One foot after the other, effortless.
Down and into the mayhem,
Into the place where everyone is yelling,
Their mouths vicious and dripping with anger
