I see the scarlet lines,
but I won't believe they're real.
I see the scarlet lines..
But I try not to feel.
I see them in red.
I see them in blue.
I see them in the mirror.
I see them in you.
I see them on your heart and
on mine as well.
I know she hurt you,
I can tell.
I see the scarlet lines
everywhere I go.
They are a sweet reminder of
How I loved you so.
I'll see the scarlet lines
for the rest of my days.
They are a weary reminder of
the day...You went away.
