I Wake To See A Stranger
I feel something caress my face.
I open my eyes, surprised with fear.
I try to get up and run away with haste.
But you caught me too quick, such bad news to hear.
I wake to see a stranger,
he stares into my eyes.
I feel the presence of danger.
Knowing that love is something he buys.
He kisses me but I don't kiss back.
I say, "Don't do this to me!"
"Don't be afraid," he said, in his voice a small crack.
He moves in closer, how could it be?
That something like this could happen to me?
I wake to see a stranger,
but in his eyes lie,
a story full of danger,
now dying, I cry.
