A Tale of a Curse

The earth shakes beneath my feat,
From the wind comes a sigh,
A cry of a broken soul,
Fills the cold night sky.
Shadows dance on the ground,
My heart beats like a drum,
Whispers from the forest trees,
Sing a familiar hum.
Footsteps start to come my way,
My eyes shut with great fear,
All around me comes to a hush,
I know he is near,
Mocked and crushed since the day of birth,
No story could be worse,
Of a girl who saw everything,
A tale of a curse.
