It HURTS to miss you...

By
I miss the way you used to smile,
the way you used to laugh,
I miss the way we would sing in the car,
and the way we used to dance.

I miss the waking thought of you,
and how you'd push me around,
I miss the way you would say my name,
and how your voice would sound.

I miss the way we used to joke,
the scary movies we'd see,
I miss your hugs most of all,
and how careless we could be.

I miss the sight of sun in your hair,
the look of your dark brown eyes,
I miss seeing Bridger in your arms,
and holding Maddy when she cries.

Mom, I miss those stories you would tell,
the terrible food you used to make,
I even miss when you were mad,
and those nastey birthday cakes.

Its hard not knowing you'll be there,
never more to cheer me on,
I miss you every single day,
Why couldn't you have stayed, just to be my mom.

Now I wake with you not here,
I am now lost without my Mother,
I know it was your time to go with God,
but why couldn't he have taken another.

Loving you now is not the hard part,
It's the agonizing pain you are gone forever,
I will never forget you in my life,
Instead I know one day when it's "my time"...
we will be together.

I always want you to know I love you!
