If I could catch one wish
I'd put it in your eyes
To give wings to the crippled bird
Who nests in them
To cradle their cerulean depths
In a pool of liquid light
To give you happiness

If I could catch ten thousand happiness's
I'd put them in your mouth
To hear your silvery laugh
Like the strumming of a bevy of harps
To watch your mouth twist up ten thousand times
In a heartbreaker's smile
To give you hope

If I could catch fifty thousand hopes
I'd put them in your heart
To feel it beat for the promise of tomorrow
To kindle the single flame and watch it grow
And see it pound hungrily against your chest
To give you dreams

If I could catch one million dreams
I'd put them in your mind
To watch you soar upon the wings of angels
To watch you climb the mountain
And ascend into Heaven
To give you one wish.
