To Our Generation This Poem is Addressed

To our generation this poem is addressed.
Are we so reliant on technology that we have become obsessed?
Our nature is to be free and happy and full of life,
Yet computers destroy our very being like a heart stabbed with a knife.
We have dominated the Earth for many many years,
Yet we have recently lost our unique features that we hold to ourselves most dear.
If we accept all our scientific theories and calculations as fact,
Then we lose the essential knowledge of ourselves that this generation must keep intact.
