Dreamt Impossibilities
Worlds so beautiful and new,
 conceived during this fitful sleep.
 Not one existing without you,
 all because I counted sheep.

 Like young, excited children,
we journeyed through the foreign land.
And how marvelous it has been
 never letting go your hand.

I lay watching as we danced,
my every thought consumed by awe.
If all this happened just by chance,
how is it bereft of flaws?

 The dream took us everywhere,
 even most horrible places.
But we could hardly tell or care,
 said smiles on our faces.

Even though I love those lies,
Alas! It was not meant to be.
 Reality’s sun shocked my eyes
 when I woke so suddenly.
