One day, that’s how long they are going to stay.
Crowded together for what seems like forever.
People you know and some that mom says you should know.
Turkey slowly roasting while you hear relatives boasting.
Too many faces in so small places.
It’s almost time to eat, so you quickly grab a seat.
Green beans and sweet potatoes, around the table they go.
You get to break the wishbone, and the bigger piece you take.
Time for pie you have to give all of them a try.
