Welcome
You stand at the gates
Shining crimson red
The exhilarating rush
Of fear fills your head
You study the people
Some happy some sad
Changed forever
Is the life you had
Thoughts numbed
You’re no longer aware
You try to run away
But your mind’s in a snare
This all leaves your mind
As you cross the threshold
The land melts away
No longer does it forebode
When it smiles with joy
You’re blinded from pain
Brought on by a force stronger
Than driving rain
As you sit there staring
A voice beckons from above
It laughs a “Hello”
And welcomes you to love
