Learn to obey before you command.

The day started out great
It was sunny and bright
For once it was on my side, that thing they call fate
The last thing I expected was a fight

You made me cry
Broke my heart with the things you said
Made me want to die
Suicide thoughts running through my head

I have never felt so bad before
I thought you loved me
I thought I was the one you adore
How stupid I can be

The one person who I thought would understand
Left me alone to battle with my mind
Left me with an empty hand
Those thoughts screamed at me yet they were so gentle and kind

They adored me like a sweet flower
A flower, so delicate and rare
How couldn’t I see that I was the one they would devour
Those gentle and kind thoughts turned into my worst nightmare

As I took my last breaths they were there
Urging me on to leave
As my eyes closed I could still feel their stare
Together we started to weave

Death and I became one
I was led to a peaceful place
All I could see were beautiful flowers and the setting sun
I knew then that I would never again see your face

I wrote this after an argument with a family member. My heart and soul is in this poem.
